At the break of day the body of a young boy is laid on a bier at the edge of the village. The family takes their leave of the departed. Musicians play. A thread is stretched between a tethered ox and the deceased, and then the ox is sacrificed. The dead child is fed and a funeral is held. At the burial place a grave is dug and walled with wooden planks. The body is now laid in the coffin. Then oracle sticks are thrown. The grave is finally filled with earth, the bier broken and thrown on the graves with branches. Before returning to the village all those who took part undergo a ritual ceremony of purification.
